College-Age Counselor · Summer 2027

Description

Spend an 11–12 week summer leading campers in Idaho's Sawtooth Mountains at a Lutheran camp. Teachers will appreciate the mix of traveling day camp and traditional overnight camp.

After two weeks of staff training, most counselors spend two to three weeks leading off-site day camps in teams of three or four, then return for seven weeks of on-site youth and family camp. Staff average a day and a half off per week plus an hour off each day. Camp Perkins recruits college-age and older staff through the National Lutheran Outdoor Ministry Association's joint process.
