Description
This Chesapeake Bay sailing school on the Eastern Shore is hiring instructors for its eight-week 2027 program teaching kids and adults to sail. Teachers who enjoy structured skill-building lessons and daily classroom-style instruction with students of varying ages and levels will feel right at home.
Rock Hall Yacht Club Sailing School, now in its 24th year, is seeking sailing instructors for its eight-week Summer 2027 program on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Instructors teach Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, and Adult sailing classes Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., using Optis, Sunfish, Laser Radials, and C420s on Langford Bay. The role calls for the same lesson sequencing, safety oversight, and encouragement teachers bring to a classroom, just on the water instead. Pay runs $15–$18 per hour, and housing may be available on request. Candidates need US Sailing Level 1 certification with First Aid/CPR, SafeSport training, and a Maryland boating certificate.
